Well, hello there…
My name is Adam.
I’m (at the time of writing) 29 years old and live in Southeastern Tennessee.
By all accounts, I’m a pretty normal late 20’s dude…
I have an undergrad degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship and hope to (sooner or later) return to school for my M.B.A.
I own my own business, have been married for 5 years, and have a 3 year old son who is the light of my life.
I play guitar, sports, and love the outdoors.
I have an unhealthy obsession with Sasquatch. I am infinitely fascinated by the idea that there may be a large, undiscovered primate, roaming the forests of North America (and much of the world, for that matter).
I’ve always been interested in cryptids. I’ve read more books on the Loch Ness Monster than I care to remember. I’ve studied encounters of every kind; Giant birds, lake monsters, lizard men and Tasmanian Tigers. You name it and I’ve looked into it.
But nothing has ever come close to my fascination with Bigfoot.
However, I cannot rid myself of my skeptical lean.
I refuse to accept things just “because…”
I refuse to ignore logic and common sense.
Unfortunately, a large preponderance of the bigfoot “community” accept things with very little actual evidence. Because of this, so much of the readily available information is based upon assumptions, heresay, and hoax.
Sadly, a good story is enough to make a celebrity.
I take offense to this, whether right or wrong…
Should I care?
But I just can’t help it.
My hope is that this site, the articles/posts within, and the message it conveys can somehow sway some to look at things with a more critical eye, to listen to stories with a discerning ear, and encourage more reasonable, thoughtful, dialogue within the community.
That is truly my hope for SearchTheWoods.
Thanks for visiting, reading, and interacting.
Hope to hear from you soon.
